A simple message to swallow

When the truth is on the downlow?

Though I’m not persuaded
I’ve had to learn to ride the rise & fall
And I try to be happy & brave
but things get in the way...
When the hope had faded
I found somewhere to weather the storm
So I try to live healthy & strong
But it often goes wrong...

Can we come back from the cold
When so much raw damage was caused?
There’s a crisis of the soul
And I’m not sure which way it will go...now.

I used to feel so jaded
My heart could barely take the rise & fall
But I tried to be happy & brave
...some things got in the way!
When the truth was traded
I found somewhere to shelter from the storm
And I tried to keep healthy & strong
And sometimes got along...

We need encouragement
